Devlog 2: Sound Effects


Added new things, mainly seven sound effects.

"opening the door"        -- used audio from my apartment door. Squeaky sound because it's a swinging door in the game.

"the door is locked"        -- used audio from my apartment door. Sounds like a lock being messed with because the character tried the lock.

"picking up the key"        -- used audio from my keys. Sounds like keys being grabbed in a hurry because in game they are grabbed quickly.

"checkpoint"                    -- used audio from BFXR for the rest. Upbeat jingle to make the player feel accomplished.

"you died"                        -- dramatic "dun dun" sound to make the player understand something bad happened, but not too sad so they know they can try again.

"moving platform"          -- hushed humming sound similar to an engine to not distract from gameplay more than needed.

"falling platform"            -- slide whistle down sound to invoke cartoon falling feeling.
