Devlog 3: Experience
In this assignment, we were tasked with creating an experience in our game that evoked a certain feeling in the Player. For my experience, I wanted to create a parkour map with the purpose of being simple. My inspiration for this was the "brainrot" Minecraft parkour videos. They may be overdone, but they are certainly fun to watch and fun to play because it makes you feel like you're really good at the game while playing them. I tried to replicate this feeling with my level.
UPDATE: 9-25-24
We played our games in class, and I was able to have someone play my game and give feedback. From their feedback, I was told that my game did evoke the feeling I was going for, but only after I told them what the experience was. The constructive feedback I received was that the jumps were the same through the whole thing. I will be taking this and improving the game in the next devlog.
